Refrigerator
Freezer compartment is not cold enough
Check that the temperature settings have not been moved and are still pointing to the marked black lines.
Is the light on inside the refrigerator?
Yes: Feel the back wall of the freezer. Is it cold? Do you hear the evaporator fan running or feel air flowing from the rear vents in the freezer?
No: Check the power outlet and home breaker to make sure the power is on. If the outlet does not have power please contact your maintenance staff or an electrician.

The freezer temperature is OK but the fresh food compartment of the refrigerator is warming up

There is a noise in my freezer
Is it a buzzing noise, or does it sound like a sizzle?
A sizzling noise in normal during a defrost cycle and should stop in a few minutes when the refrigerator cycles back on.

There is a noise coming from behind my refrigerator
If this is a new sound it is most likely the "condenser fan". Check for any debris or items that may have fallen behind the refrigerator. Try to slightly change the position of the refrigerator as the fan may be hitting something that is close to it and prevents it from turning.

Washer doesn't work at all

Washer is vibrating
Make sure not to overload the machine. Putting too many items in one load will cause the washer to vibrate as well as will make it much less effective. Spread the clothes evenly within the washer tub to make sure the load is even.
Check the floor for any detergent spills or anything that may cause it to be slippery. The washing machine needs to have stable and level ground for it not to move around much.

Washer is leaking
First stop the machine. Check the water valves of your home. The water may be dripping at the faucet. If this is the case you need to contact your maintenance team or a plumber to fix the valves.
Check if the Home drain line is clogged. When the drain line is clogged, the water that is being drained from the washing machine cannot drain out to the home pipes, this may cause flooding under the washing machine. If this is the case you need to contact your maintenance team or a plumber and do not use the machine until the issue is fixed.

Dryer
Dryer doesn't work at all
Check the power outlet and home breaker to make sure the power is on. If the outlet does not have power please contact your maintenance staff or an electrician.
Make sure the lid of the dryer is shut all the way and nothing is blocking it. The dryer will not operate when the lid is not fully closed.

There is no heat
If this is a gas dryer, make sure the gas in the home is turned on and not disconnected.
Many dryers have a 'cool down' cycle or 'wrinkle guard' cycle. It is normal for the dryer not to be hot during these cycles.

It takes too long to dry or won't stop working
Make sure to clean the lint screen before each and every use. A dirty lint screen will extremely reduce the efficiency of the dryer causing it to take very long to dry.
Check the vent duct leading from the dryer to the house wall. Make sure it is not loose or crushed.
The home vent ducts may be clogged. If this is the case, moisture cannot be expelled from the dryer to the outside and the clothes will not dry. Call your maintenance team or a plumber to clear any blocks in the home vent ducts.

Dryer is making noise
If this is clinking noise, check inside the dryer drum for any loose items that may have fell or come loose from your articles of clothing.
Remove any heavy items that have been put on top of the dryer and may cause the metal to warp and dent.
